About us

Welcome to Notable, a culinary experience created by chef Vital Awick and sommelier Adriaan Visser. Located in a former roof tile factory, our restaurant is where craftsmanship, passion, and creativity come together. We invite you to take a seat at our Chef's Table, where the heart of our kitchen unfolds right before your eyes.

In this unique setting, we present a story of seasonal ingredients, refined techniques, and our love for the culinary arts. Let your senses come alive as we craft a menu that unfolds before you.

For me, food is all about being together with wonderful people. Sharing beautiful moments, enjoying refined flavors, all in great company—be it with family, friends, or, of course, our guests.

During and after my studies, I gained invaluable experience at various top restaurants in Limburg and beyond. My career began at Da Vinci and De Leuf. Along the way, I spent a year in Amsterdam at Restaurant Rijks, followed by five fantastic years at Restaurant Tribeca in Heeze, where I met Adriaan. Together, we returned to the south to work at Harry’s.

This journey not only brought me cherished memories and knowledge but also lifelong friendships. Now, we’re thrilled to welcome you to our own restaurant and treat you to an unforgettable experience!

Sommelier

Being a sommelier is all about people. Bringing our guests and winemakers together is the most rewarding part of my work.

Geboren en getogen in de Achterhoek, had ik nooit kunnen vermoeden dat ik na mijn opleiding aan de Hotelschool een carrière als sommelier zou beginnen. Mijn reis bracht me via Cordial en het haut-cuisine restaurant Tribeca, waar ik Vital ontmoette, naar Harry’s en nu naar onze eigen plek: Notable.

After years of dedication and study, I was honored to receive the title of Best Sommelier of the Netherlands in 2022. This prestigious title opened doors to international adventures in the world of wine, from competitions to certifications. These valuable discoveries are something I look forward to sharing with you—after all, the study of this fascinating world of wine never ends!

At Notable, we love wine. And food. Did we mention wine paired with food? The wine world has never been as diverse and exciting as it is today. Our wine list is designed to guide you on a journey of discovery. While we focus primarily on Europe, we’re not afraid to include exceptional wines from the other side of the world. We collaborate with the best winemakers to share their finest creations with you.

Reservations

Private Dining

Reservations are easily made through our online reservationsystem. Fully booked? We have a waiting list available. On Friday - and Saturday we ask a prepayment of 25 euro per guest. This is refundable if you cancel your reservation at least 24 hours prior.

Are you with a party of four or more? You will be seated on a corner of the bar, so you can enjoy your company.

For group reservations larger than six, you can contact us by e-mail. Also to discuss a lunch or dinner in a private setting. We can create a unique afternoon or evening tailored to your wishes.

Accessibility

The restaurant is near the centre of Echt, in the renovated Pannenfabriek. There is a parking directly in front of the restaurant. Unfortunately most navigation systems do not recognize the adress yet, and will send you to the back of the building on the Diepstraat. Coming from the A2 you will drive on the Sint Janskamp street, where just after the car dealership, you take a right on the roundabout onto the big parking. Our entrance is directly left of Gastropub de Valk, where we are located on the first floor.

Do you prefer the train? The station of Echt is a 15 minute walk from the restaurant. In the nearby city of Roermond you can find a variety of hotels.

Notable is located on the first floor of the factory and, unfortunately, is not wheelchair accessible. Due to our open kitchen, we kindly ask that you leave your dog or other pets at home.
